Make a bold statement with this Patrick Francis Fashion Scarf, inspired by the Book of Kells. Rich jewel tones are all over this scarf, from bottle green to pale blue to vibrant red & orange and beyond. This large square scarf is approx 42”x42”, which means it would look great anyway you style it. Use it as a dress scarf, shawl, or wrap. It’s light weight and means it will travel well. Tuck it into a bag during the summer, to wrap around you if the air conditioning in a shop or restaurant gets to be too much. Makes an excellent gift for those special people in your life.
The Book of Kells contains lavishly decorated interpretations of the four gospels. It is estimated that the Book of Kells was produced back in the 9th Century on the island of Iona, off the cost of Scotland. It is said that the book was moved to Kells, in Co. Meath, Ireland for safe keeping during the times of Viking raids. The Book was moved to its current home, in Dublin’s own Trinity College in 1653. It remains there, on display for visitors to see and admire the rich history.
