This rhodium plated Tara Brooch has been crafted to take on the look of brushed pewter. Its beauty is only increased by the addition of cuts of Ireland’s own Connemara marble. Connemara is a uniquely green marble found only on the west coast of Ireland! This brooch would look stunning pinned to the front of a coat or to help secure a scarf. It measures approx 2” across.

The Tara brooch is named after the hill of Tara and dates back to 700AD and the era of Bronze Age craftsmanship.

Unique to Ireland, Connemara marble is a green marble that comes from the Connemara mountains in the west of Ireland. It ranges in color from deep green, to pale yellow green, to shades of grey within the green. It is over 900 million years old and a true piece of Ireland.
