The wee knots, with three points and three turns each can represent eternity and the ever lasting. Since the trinity features 3 points and sides, this knot is often associated with anything that comes in the count of three, including but not limited to: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; Past, Present, and Future; & Grandmother, Mother, and Mom.
