This sterling silver St Brigid Cross pendant is part of the Acara collection. It’s small in size, perfect for daily wear. The front of this sterling silver pendant features fine details, giving the look as if it’s been woven of reeds, like Brigid’s traditional cross. The design is single sided and the pendant swings freely on a loose bale. It measure approx 5/8” across and comes on an 18” sterling silver chain. Chain features a easy to use clasp, that stays secure when worn.
Acara jewellery is designed drawing inspiration from Ireland’s rich past. The unique icons include the Claddagh, the Celtic Cross, the Shamrock and intricate Celtic Knot Work. Each piece is hallmarked by the Assay office at Dublin Castle.

St. Brigid's Cross is a cross woven from rushes, with 4 arms tied at the end and meeting in a woven patterned square in the centre. Traditionally they were displayed over the door of a house to ward off evil. The tradition marks the beginning of spring, St Brigid's Day being the 1st February. St Brigid is one of Ireland's patron saints.
