May St. Brigid bless the house that shelters you!
The Saint Brigid Cross is a distinctive cross, most commonly woven from rushes (reeds). St. Brigid is a patron saint of Ireland, right alongside Saint Patrick. Brigid has been credited as the creator of this unique cross, weaving it from the rushes found on the floor as she sat beside a dying pagan chieftain (it is said the chieftain was her father). It is said this cross can ward off evil and protect the home from fire & harm. It’s always a welcome gift to give a St. Brigid cross to new home owners.
This Brigid cross measures approx 3.5"
