St. Brigid is one of Ireland's patron saints!

This lovely cross pendant is crafted of sterling silver, with fine details that mimic the natural woven design of the St. Brigid cross. The fine lines look like the rushes, that make up the traditional cross design. The details are featured on both sides of this pendant. It swings freely from a sturdy bale and comes hanging on an 18” sterling silver chain. The chain features an easy to use spring-loop clasp, that will stay secure as you wear it. The pendant itself measures approx 1”H (including the bale) by 3/4”W

The St. Brigid's Cross is an Irish symbol, in the shape of a cross, firstly & commonly woven from rushes (reeds). The shape is made up of 4 arms tied at the end and meeting in a woven square at the centre. Traditionally they were displayed over the door of a house to ward off evil. It is also said the St. Brigid Cross will protect the home from fire and damages. St Brigid's Day, the 1st February, signifies the spring season in Ireland.
